The government currently has a Deputy Minister in charge of leading a government-wide "Open Data" project, yet submitting a simple Freedom of Information (FOI) request still requires one to find a form online, print it, fill it out, find an envelope/stamp, write a cheque and mail it to the relevant ministry. It's not 1982 anymore. All of this could and should easily be moved online and credit card payment allowed. It's simple, would save requestors time and effort, wouldn't cost the government a dime, and is consistent with the government's open data mandate.
