We now have airline ticket prices advertised with everything included. Why not for automobiles? We need a standard lease term and payment frequency, standard downpayment (including all fees and taxes). Right now, auto manufacturers and dealers can manipulate their advertised lease payments as they wish, which can be misleading to the consumer, and certainly precludes any comparison shopping. e.g. "ONLY $299 a month!!!" ...more »
Create High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) Lanes, cheaply by converting 3rd or 4th lanes of existing 400 series highways to HOV lanes. This would massively increase the number of kilometers of such lanes at minimal cost, making the network of such lanes an extremely attractive alternative for the commuting public, increasing carpooling, reducing the number of cars on the roads, and congestion.
Every time I want to buy a vehicle from a private citizen they are supposed to provide a vehicle history report showing no liens and buyer history of the vehicle, yet they never get them and leave it up me to me to pay for and get this info, but the buyer is supposed to provide this.
