Home Care for Seniors

We need to relax the regulatory legislative requirements so that people requesting home care do not have to sign up for a waiting list for long-term care facilities. Currently, the legislation/regulations allow for only 180 hours of assisted living or 90 hours of respite care per month. Self Directed Home Care For Seniors

Allow families to chose CCAC government providers or hire their own provider. Rationale: Current ccac providers are not customer orientated and the times/days that are provided don't necessarily meet the needs of families. There is no accountability with current providers and families don't have any choice.
