Increased CPP benefits for Parents of a Child with a Disability

Currently there is the "child-rearing provision" which applies to you if: •you have children born after December 31, 1958; and •your earnings were lower because you either stopped working, worked fewer hours or took a lesser paying job to be the primary caregiver of a dependent child under the age of seven; This idea should be extended to parents who had to stop working to take care of their child with a disability. ...more »

Social Benefits

make it easier for people to get social benefits. In order to get some of Ontario's benefits, one must stop working then engage in pursuing the benefits which take a long time, usually more then a year. How is one person able to finance himself throughout that year.
