Cellphone Service for the Underground TTC Network

The Government of Ontario, via Metrolinx and the TTC should sign an agreement with Canada's telecom providers, to get cellular and LTE services underground. This has been done in Montreal, so it is possible in Canada. All underground sections on the subway and streetcar network should be "wired", along with future network extensions like the Eglinton Crosstown LRT and the Scarborough Subway. Finch West LRT now

With delays to the SRT because of needed updates to its EA, design, etc. from LRT to HRT (subway), it will be years before any construction starts on its replacement. Instead of waiting, start building the Finch West LRT in 2014. Adjust the construction timelines so that other transit projects can be moved up.

End the Transit Debate

All parties: The Province, Metrolinx, Toronto, and the TTC need to sit down together and mediate the issues going on. One councillor or one minister should not have the right to derail an entire contract. Using transit to get votes is wrong and dirty politics and that is what we have been seeing with the scarborough subway. Ontario will never be a world class destination without it's major economic area having world class ...more »

Build the scarboro LRT and extend the sheppar dSubway to Kennedy

Build the Scarboro LRT as planned... don't waste the 85 million already spent. Subways should be designed to connect with GO Trains - the Sheppard Subway has been planned since 192 - don't build an LRT to morninsgisde, just build a subway to Kennedy Road and link into the GO station. This is cheaper, and the money was already spent planning a subway - even Rob Ford wanted this as his first choice! This would cost about ...more »
