Establish the FarmBelt to protect prime farmland

It is time Ontario properly protects our quickly disappearing prime farmland. The creation of a GreenBelt-esque protection for farmland would ensure that urban sprawl does not unnecessarily get built on top of the land that feeds us, and provides us with many valuable agricultural jobs. The society reported in 2009 that rural health care is usually quite efficient with lower cost per capita in dollars spent, and health care providers engaged than city/urban care. Rural Transit in Central Ontario

Communities like Haliburton, Bancroft, Minden, and the Highway 60 corridor through Algonquin Park, Barry's Bay and Renfrew should be integrated into the Ontario transit system. All our communities are aging, and the cost of driving continues to rise.
