Ontario must create a national daycare as a no-profit organization. This would reduce the financial burden on working Ontarians.
For years now a meal costing less than $4.00 at a restaurant has been subject to only a 6% tax. We must change the prison's mandate from "penal institutions" to "re-education institution". Do not punish, educate instead. We must remember that by locking up criminals and tossing the key does only one thing: desperate ex-cons who have no other ways to survive once out of prison by committing more crimes (and getting better at it). The expectation that people should retire at 65 (unless the person is incompetent or incapable) is a big mistake. Warehousing or segregating old folks into residences, treatment, facilities, programs and so on, is a big mistake. Provincial Parks must be free for and accessible to every Canadian.
Commercial advertisers convince people to buy products. Likewise, we must advertise and convince people to become better citizens.
The province of Ontario should use any media to campaing for convincing people to be good citizens. After all there is no bad guys, but only people who do not know better.
Democratic alternative to proportional representation: candidates must have more than 50% of the votes to be elected.
Municipal taxes must be eliminated for homeowners over 75 years of age.
I know that this may be far fetched, and yet, this is probably the most important $ expenditure that any Government can make. The Ontario Government should set aside a portion of his budget dedicated to educate the public so as to become better citizens.
