Special education needs have increased dramatically in the last few years. More and more students with Autism are entering the school system and it is becoming increasingly difficult to support these students the way they deserve to be supported. I would like to see policies and funding examined to ensure that these students are receiving the quality of education that they are entitled to receive.
Schools need to be looked at... We are the adults of the future ahead, if you want a good future, look at the children. I am a grade 11 student and I feel strong about my school. I love going to school, but we need more money to invest in things worth while for the school. New sporting equipment, new software for the computers, maybe an air conditioner for those EXTREMELY HOT days... it is hard to focus when we are down ...more »
As a student out of high school recently, there was very little interaction between guidance counselors in discussing my future career paths. I don't think that half semester about careers is enough. I think our education systems should have mandatory meetings with all pupils at least once a semesters to discuss what their aspirations are. We see many students attending post-secondary education and then switching in ...more »
There should be a targeted grant for educational certifications that lead to careers in areas with identified skills shortages. The greater the demand for graduates, the greater the tuition grant.

We should also have more access to OSAP since right now it's only available to people 4 years out of high school. Also, no matter if your ...more »
Driving is a necessity in North America. It is a right! No one should not be able to drive because they cannot afford auto insurance. Also I believe that auto insurance should be reduced for college and university students, since it is very hard for them the earn money while in school. Also public transit should be free for students or subsidized more.
It is great to see grade seven students with a passion for political life and who want to get more involved, but I think the legislative page program should be for university students only in the Toronto area. This would greatly benefit university students, who need the experience for future employment. In Ottawa the page program is highly competitive and encouraging to students involved. But as a post-secondary student ...more »
some professors are horrible and cannot teach or understand. I think the students should have the power to get another professor in their class if they are having trouble with one
Students should have the power to collectively fire a prof that does a bad job! Likewise for high school teachers
