Ombudsman Oversight in MUSH Sector

In an effort to be transparent and in light of various tragedies that have occurred, there needs to be an independent investigation process when complaints are made within this sector.

It is now the 21st century and Ontario remains to be the only province where this is not an option.

Better Guidance for Students in regards to Careers

As a student out of high school recently, there was very little interaction between guidance counselors in discussing my future career paths. I don't think that half semester about careers is enough. I think our education systems should have mandatory meetings with all pupils at least once a semesters to discuss what their aspirations are. We see many students attending post-secondary education and then switching in ...more »

Free Tuition

There are currently 20 developed countries that offer free university tuition. I'm a student and I am struggling with the idea that I am paying thousands of dollars for post-secondary education, only to graduate with years of debt I'll have to face before I can start my life. bring a new bilingual university campus to Chatham Kent

I think to bring a campus of the university of Ottawa to Chatham Kent would demonstrate Ottawa's commitment to excellence in Chatham Kent and a hand in the every day business of the Legislature here in Chatham Kent where one tends to feel alienated from the conversation in the life of the Nation and parliament and the rest of Ontario. Despite so much Canadian history occurring here

Raise Tuition; increase bursaries

As a student at the University of Toronto, I am constantly berated by my student union for not participating in drop fees campaigns; however, it does not make the most distributive sense to drop fees across the board. There are loads of Ontario families who can afford the current tuition levels, and could even pay more. Rather than lowering overall tuition - which would essentially amount to a break for the wealthiest ...more »

Students should have the power to fire professors

some professors are horrible and cannot teach or understand. I think the students should have the power to get another professor in their class if they are having trouble with one
