Campaign Brief

The Ontario Liberal Party is delivering modern open government responsive to people’s needs and that meets the increased expectations people have from their experience with private services. The rapid pace of change is impacting the way we live, work and play and people expect government keep pace. People expect their services to be responsive, friendly, easy to use and available where and when they want to use them.

To make government more responsive to people’s needs the Ontario Liberal Party has:

  • Improving customer service: just last year, ServiceOntario had over 50 million citizen interactions with a 90% approval rating
  • Bringing a new focus to delivering online services such as health card, driver's license renewal as well as online access to vaccination “yellow cards” so parents can keep easily track of the children’s immunization information
  • Opening up government information by making it easy to find, use and understand
  • Engaging people in new and innovative ways by inviting people submit their ideas for the provincial budget online, work together to perfect those ideas and vote on which will receive funding
