Fixing Ontario Energy Surplus Problem

Last Edited by Matthew Jones

Currently the Province of Ontario spent over 6 billion sending the surplus of energy Ontario generates to the United States. Although the development and use of renewable sources of energy are important such as wind and solar. Given the increased cost of electricity and the surplus of energy Ontario has this problem needs to be fixed. Technology and infrastructure should be invested in and developed in order to help distribute this energy to residents of Ontario not the United States. A financial mechanism should also be developed so electricity cost are lowered based on this surplus. It is unacceptable that Ontario is able to generate large amounts of clean, renewable energy, but then has to spend billions on distributing it to Americans when that money can be better used on Ontario residents.
