Support NON-PROFITS in delviery of affordable housing

Exempt non-profit housing provider projects (rental or ownership) from government charges and fees.
The exemption could apply to : Land Transfer Tax, development charges, building fees, Park land dedications, section 37 charges, etc.

Affordable ownership housing

Eliminate current REGRESSIVE development charges from the new housing construction and replace with progressive Development Charge % Rate.

Example: in Minister Sousa's home town of Mississauga, a $1.2 million 2 bed condo and a new $350,000 2 bed condo pay the same DC - about $40,000. Works out to a " tax rate" of 3.3% for the family that can afford $1.2m and 11% for the family that can afford the $350,000 unit.
