Kids with mental health issues should receive high quality treatment close to home within 30 days

Mental health services are chronically underfunded - many people with mental health care needs are NOT able to access services unless they can afford to pay high fees in the private sector. Early recognition, access to treatment, and supports for people before their concerns become crises (or mental health concerns escalate) are necessary to support a healthy Ontario.

Offer one free dental cleaning for seniors. Dental care is often sacrficed by seniors on fixed income. They no longer have dental coverage after leaving the workplace upon retirement. One small step towards fairness and help for our seniors.

Hearing Aid cost are in the thousands of dollars and its considered a disability. I am only 34 years old and have genetic hearing loss. I am the manager of a long term care facility and I'm well educated but i cant afford new hearing aids and i know hundreds just like me. Soon it will prevent me from working and instead of being a contributing citizen that i can be, ill be living on disability money which i dont want.... more »

Almost all of our high school graduates are functionally illiterate when it comes to finances. Increased NURSE TO PATIENT RATIO FROM 5:1 to 3:1 while returning the 100 residency doctor spots cut this year. Illuminate the provincial portion of the OAS and CPP pensions and push for the Federal government to do the same.

Mandatory Mental Health Education, from primary to secondary schooling – as we do Physical Education. Help end the stigma surrounding mental health by educating our youth. Mental health is an integral part of our overall health.

The Government of Ontario should develop a comprehensive action plan in consultation with patients, practitioners, hospital administrators, policy makers and advisory groups like Health Quality Ontario to realistically address our aging population's healthcare needs.

Water rates need to be updated for bottled water companies. Right now, companies like Nestlé pay just $2.25 to take a million litres of groundwater -- and they're allowed to withdraw unlimited amounts of precious water to sell at a huge profit. While the OSAP free tuition policies have been a tremendous step in reducing financial barriers for post-secondary students, textbooks continue to present a significant cost for many students. Connecting all of Ontario with high speed rail system. Make it easier to get from city to city. This will get people out of their cars and alleviate traffic on our highways.

Cities should also be connecting their own transit systems to make travel easier to get from city to city and to our rural communities.

With teachers being physically hurt and classmates having to endure violent outbursts the time has come to either review the old funding model or maybe remove the repeat offenders if there is not resources available to help them.

We currently have the most expensive auto insurance premiums in Canada despite also having one of the lowest levels of accidents and fatalities. Right now, people in Canada have to register as organ donors to be recognized as a donor. Ontario should move to an opt-out system. The evidence is clear - people are patiently waiting for organs and tissues which could significantly improve lives but many are let down by our current system.
